The robot provides precise, minimally invasive placement of special implants with minute tissue invasion. The Mazor X Spinal Robot is the first of its kind in the region. Peoria has one of the highest premature birth rates in Illinois and in the country. This collective approach produces powerful bonding within the group and reinforces positive behaviors. It follows the group prenatal model where a cohort of expectant moms with common pregnancy timeframes have their prenatal care checkups together. The UnityPoint Health Centering Pregnancy prenatal care program is a scientifically proven model to decrease the rate of preterm births and decrease or nullify the disparity between women of different races. Scholarship winners can apply these funds toward either the bachelor’s degree in nursing program at Methodist College or associate degree programs at Illinois Central College, Spoon River College or Carl Sandburg College. These scholarships will provide educational opportunities for current UnityPoint Health employees to pursue their dreams to become nurses. To combat the national nursing shortage, we are funding the UnityPoint Methodist | Proctor Foundation Seize Opportunities Nursing Scholarships. We provide resources vital to advancing healthcare services and wellness education through Methodist, Proctor and Pekin hospitals Methodist College the Hult Center for Healthy Living the Illinois Center for Addiction Recovery and clinics throughout central Illinois.
